ALZip
If you are new to computers or new to archives, these quick & simple tutorials will make you an expert in no time!
  1. Create ZIP Files in < 5 seconds
  2. Add to ZIP Files in < 2 seconds
But if you haven't downloaded and installed ALZip yet, keep reading below for a fast introduction.

First things first...

If you haven't already, download ALZip now. When you are prompted, accept the default configuration. This is best for most users. Once you feel comfortable with ALZip, you can customize it later.

The main application

ALZip supports a neat and easy to use interface:

From here you can click one of the toolbar buttons to:

  • Create a new archive
  • Open an existing archive
  • Add files to an open archive
  • Extract files from an open archive
  • Install a program in an archive
  • Change views
  • Or access more functions from the menu bar

Create and extract Zip archives in just 2 clicks

Ninety-five percent of the time, you'll only ever need two clicks to get a job done.

Creating zip archives in 2 clicks

The easiest and fastest way to create an archive is through your right-click context menu. Try this:

  1. Right-click on a file in Windows Explorer to display your context menu. You'll see an item similar to this:
    Create ZIP files in seconds
  2. Left-click on that item.
  3. Done!

Check your original directory and you'll see a file named Example.zip.

Extracting zip archives in 2 clicks

Just as with creating an archive, you can extract files in two clicks. Try this:

  1. Right-click on the archive that you just created. You'll see an item similar to this:
    Extract ZIP files in seconds
  2. Left-click on that item.
  3. Done!

Check your original directory for a file folder named Example. Open the folder and you'll see your original file.

Adding files to existing ZIP files is done with the flick of the wrist and takes less than 2 seconds.

Drag Drop

Drag. Drop. Done. It's that simple. Or more explicitly:

  1. Drag a file onto an archive.
  2. Drop the file on the archive.
  3. You're Done.
